WHAT WE BELIEVE
THE BIBLE
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and to the best of our ability we teach and practice the teachings of the Bible.
JESUS
We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, was crucified for our sins, resurrected from the dead, and is coming again to receive those who have trusted Him as their Savior.
SALVATION
We believe that all men are lost in sin (Romans 3:23). The price of sin is death, but that God’s gift of eternal and abundant life is made available to us through the sacrificial death on the cross of Jesus Christ (Eph. 2:8-9). After we receive Christ in faith we confess Him publicly as our Savior (Romans 10: 9-10). This is followed by immersion baptism (Romans 6:1-6) as a testimony of the believer to his new found faith.
ASSURANCE
Assurance of eternal salvation is based only on the promise God makes in His Word that everyone who trusts in Jesus Christ alone possesses eternal life (John 5:24, 1 John 5:9-13).
DISCIPLESHIP
(Growing in Christ) The ultimate goal of the Holy Spirit’s work in the believer’s life is to produce spiritual maturity reflected in consistent Christ-like behavior and attitudes (Gal. 5: 22-25, Luke 14: 25-33, Col. 1: 23-29).
THE CHURCH
We believe that the church is “the called-out” ones of God and that the local church is organized to carry out the earthly work of Christ. It is in that work that we experience the joy of the good news
of Christ.
